GENERAL COMPETITION INFO

PREPARATION

This competition is designed to support and showcase the highest level of preparation and skills of each group at this point in their musical journey. We highly recommend that formed groups spend substantial and consistent time building a deep understanding and comfort level with their individual instruments as well as programmed repertoire. As part of this process it is advisable to seek and obtain input in the form of coaching and lessons from teachers and professional musicians. If you have any questions or need any assistance in finding such mentors, please feel free to reach out.

DIVISION DETERMINATION

Please read the eligibility requirements for each division carefully and contact us if you have any specific questions regarding which division is best for your group.  Ensembles may not have a faculty or staff member as part of their ensemble.

COMPETITION RESULTS

Results will be announced on April 23, 2027 at 10:00am CST via email, social media, and the NCF website. Comment sheets will be provided within six weeks of the last day of the festival. Visit the registration page and register today.
