Tallā Rouge in Concert
UNO’s Musical Excursions series is proud to present NCF 2022’s Emerging Ensemble Division winners Tallā Rouge in Concert. Join us for an evening titled I Wanted to Write a Song that Really Mattered to Me where Tallā Rouge uses the classical concert stage to speak the musical vernacular of America. Inspired by their Cajun and Persian heritages, this kaleidoscope of music explores a melting-pot of musical expression, weaving together a collective story of who we are and how we got there. From grief to playfulness, these jazz and West-Asian inspired works break free of traditional classical music leaving space for Tallā Rouge to boldly challenge the viola duo genre through this exciting 60 minute program of original arrangements.
This event is presented by the University of New Orleans School of the Arts.
